PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it was selected to receive a
general engineering services contract from the Port of Tacoma to provide
open-order roadway, railway, and infrastructure engineering services to
develop marine terminals along the Blair/Hylebos Peninsula.
Officials did not provide the contract value, yet noted that Jacobs'
design contract with the Port is based upon the time and expense to support
approximately $300 million in roadway, railroad, and infrastructure work.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Kevin McMahon
stated, "Jacobs has maintained a 23-year relationship with the Port of Tacoma,
managing numerous projects during that time. We are pleased to continue our
successful relationship by supporting the Port's redevelopment efforts. Our
project team is ready to deliver cost-effective, efficient, and
environmentally friendly designs that will enable the expedient transhipment
of goods."
