PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it received a contract from the
Texas Army National Guard to provide full architectural/engineering design
services for a new Armed Forces Reserve Center and Joint Vehicle Maintenance
Facility to be located in El Paso, Texas.
Jacobs' officials did not provide the contract value.
The 176,000-square-foot complex will provide facilities that include
office and personnel support areas, ground support equipment, open storage,
flammable materials storage, and a controlled waste handling facility.
Supporting facilities include maintenance workbays, military vehicle parking,
site security measures, and access roads.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean
stated, "We are delighted to be working with the Texas Army National Guard and
Army Reserve as a continuation of our 30-year relationship with the National
Guard Bureau. Our nationwide portfolio of similar National Guard projects
enables us to provide the expertise and resources needed for such an
undertaking."
