Jacobs Receives Contract from GlaxoSmithKline for New Data Center


PASADENA, Calif., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today the award of a new contract to provide engineering, procurement, and construction management services to GlaxoSmithKline for a new Tier III data center to be constructed in the eastern United States. Jacobs will provide full A/E design, equipment and subcontract procurement, construction management, and commissioning services on a highly accelerated, fast-track basis.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, "We have enjoyed a strong relationship with GlaxoSmithKline for many years. This challenging project strengthens our collaboration and broadens the spectrum of services we offer to this very important client."
