Title & Ownership

My husband and I live in Florida. He inherited a house before we got married and would now like to add my name to the title. How do we accomplish this?

The simple answer is a quitclaim deed. This allows your husband to add your name to the title and can be done by any title agency, however, consult with an attorney first. If the property has a mortgage the execution of a quitclaim deed can sometimes cause the mortgage to immediatly come due.
